Starbound is an amazing 2d space game, similar to Terraria. It has a huge selection of mods, lots of content and a huge space exploration based gameplay.
This mod collection (Steam version of Starbound required) works nearly 100% and has been heavily tested. It has over 200 mods, adding countless hours of gameplay and content. The biggest mods are Frackin' Universe and Elithian Races. Highly recommended to play as a Avikan, Droden or a Trink race to start off.
However, there are lots of other mods that together add to an immense gameplay overhaul!
